"ambulatory care at Hexham"

About: Hexham General Hospital

Husband sent as emergency by GP with possible blood clot. Arrived late afternoon and very impressed with the speed of tests being carried out, diagnosis made and treatment provided. we were even given a sandwich and tea as we had missed lunch. Staff very caring and totally professional. Ensured treatment was understood and could be safely carried out at home. Passed back to GP but follow up phone calls made to check for any problems. Very impressed with service.

Dear Pat S

How lovely to read the review you’ve shared with us on your husband’s recent treatment.

It must have been a very worrying time for you both, and I’m pleased that we were able to support you so well. It’s also reassuring to know that you were confident to continue any treatment at home from the advice you received.

We really appreciate your comments about the professional and caring attitude of our staff. I will ensure your review is passed on to the team in our Urgent Care Centre as I know they will be proud of the care they provided to you.

I wish your husband a speedy recovery and if you have any concerns at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards,

Annie
