The first ablation i had the local anaesthetic did not work and left me in pain and i squirmed under the agony. They added three lots more of it before saying the abaltion was a success and included a ecg print off how i was in sinus rythum which quickly turned out not to be the case. I was told i could go back to work after two days, but ended up in A&E instead where i spent a further 4 days. Lack of any aftercare on the first op and the second op looks to be the same. This time i was put under General and thankfully didnt feel the pain. I was told the op was a success (a\gain) and that (again) i could go back to work after two days and after 5 days i could lift heavy items etc. Well here i am two weeks on with bouts of AF unable to work with a contact us in 4 months afterservice. Shocking care if it is that at all. I was told i would go in for mapping origionally and that they would use the cold freeze version rather than the burn/heat treatment. This changed on the day and i feel if this had of been mapped propperly i would be well now. It's not good enough.
