I have been struggling with plantar fasciitis and tendontitis for almost 2 years. Having tried so many treatments without much relief, I attended the physiotherapy department again at Wishaw General Hospital. A friendly but extremely professional physiotherapist called Fiona obtained a detailed history and spent so much time identifying the root cause of my pain. I really felt it was the first time someone was truly listening to me! ! ! !
I have now had several treatments with ultrasound which has helped immensely. Fiona has given me so much support and invaluable advice to continue building up strength and I can truly say I have hope for the future that I will recover from this most debilitating experience.
It has made such a difference to the quality of my life and I thank you so much for all your care and attention Fiona.
A special mention also to Martha ( Physiotherapy reception ). Fantastic support working out my appointments. What a positive experience of the department. True professionalism in the NHS! !
