My son has been under the Adhd team for years now, his original consultant left shortly after his diagnosis and was only replaced a few months ago, this person has now also left! Since the doctor only visits once a week, twice if you're lucky, this means assistance with medication is not available. I have let go numerous errors, failures to return calls etc as I have healthcare experience, however since his most recent prescription had 2 mistakes on, my son has been without 2 of his medications for weeks now!!! Calls are not answered, and when you finally get through with your concern they fail to call you back!! I came to this site looking for an email to contact with my complaint since calling doesn't get a response, but there doesn't appear to be an email either! My son is still without medication and without any idea when his next appointment for a review might be! He is just 11 years old and starting secondary soon, his transition will be made much more difficult without medication and anyone with an adhd child will understand the daily struggles I am currently faced with due toto lack of medication.
"Appalling patient care!!!"
