"Compassionate staff"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My sister was admitted following a fall on Monday evening and her condition deteriorated very quickly. We cannot thank all staff in A&E at Wishaw enough for the level of care she received in what became her last hours. They also cared for us and showed such empathy and compassion beyond any expectation, we will be eternally grateful to the staff who quite literally held us up and gave us the strength to be with her in her last moments and following her passing the gentleness and compassion shown to us. Every single member of staff went above and beyond for us and we cannot express how much it meant to our family. Thank you.

Dear Gratefulfam,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your experience at what must have been a very difficult time for you. I was pleased to read that your sister and the wider family were cared for with empathy and compassion.

I will ensure your kind words are fed back to the staff and I am sure that they will be very pleased to read that they were able to help at this sad time.

Best wishes

Andy
