"Ealing IAPT really make a difference"

About: Ealing IAPT

(as a service user),

After many years of struggling, I finally came to terms with having and dealing with depression. The NHS have been brilliant from my GP (helping me to accept, come to terms and take action) to my local pharmacist (being efficient, supportive and convenient) to my local IAPT counsellor (being approachable, consistent, supportive and objective to equipping me with the tool kit to move forward).

Dear No longer vulnerable

Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. Its such a welcome change to see praise for our NHS.

I'm sorry to hear of your long struggle with depression, we know it can be very hard to accept the condition and then even harder to gather the energy and motivation to overcome it. Your post is so important to us because we are aware that many people who have had similar difficulties will feel encouraged to seek the assistance that is provided here.

I'm sure that it was not an easy task to make the first step to getting help but readers of your post will learn from you that it is possible to feel differently with the right support and toolkit.

On behalf of the Ealing IAPT team, please accept our very best wishes.

Dr Louise De Haro
Clinical Psychologist
Deputy Clinical Lead Ealing IAPT
