I was told by a gynaecologist that the ovarian cyst I had was not problematic and would probably go away. On two occasions I told the same consultant my concerns over the cyst and the fact a junior doctor said it should be removed, my concerns were ignored by this consultant and no follow up was arranged. Fast forward to 1 year later and I had an ovarian torsion and to have emergency surgery and had to have my right ovary and Fallopian tube removed 2 days after I turned 27! I was also septic on ward and very ill from everything that happened. I am still so unbelievably upset that this happened and my concerns that proved to be something serious were ignored by the consultant I saw at this hospital
