I gave birth to my daughter on the Blueberry Ward at Grimsby on the 22nd April. I had such a positive labour thanks to the kindness and dedication of the staff on the ward. The room I was allocated was immaculate, the midwife ran me a bath and stayed with me until their shift ended, offering tonnes of support and encouragement. I was then allocated another midwife who was incredibly encouraging and professional. I gave birth to my daughter completely according to my birth plan. I was then offered a shower, a cup of tea and even a hair dryer immediately after the birth. My husband was given a campbed so that he could stay the night with our new family and the midwives even organised a pizza for him. The family feel to the ward was wonderful. Everyone was so happy and positive and I feel so grateful to everyone who cared for me.
"Thank you"
