I had an appointment on February . The doctor confirmed a previous diagnosis of plantar fasciitis and recommended using a particular type of trainers, exercises and insoles. They didn’t have my size in stock so the doctor offered to post them to me once they receive a batch.
Two months later, I hadn’t received the insoles. I got a second appointment and explained to the doctor that the pain had had some improvement with the exercises and the new shoes, but it would have been much better had I been using the insoles. They said they was surprised that I hadn’t received the insoles because they had got a batch since my last appointment. We agreed to change the address for delivery of the insoles to my work address. During this appointment the doctor didn’t examine my feet at all.
A month later I phoned the podiatry service and explained to the receptionist what had been happening and what the doctor said during the second appointment about their surprise that I hadn’t received the insoles. This person said that that wasn’t accurate because it wasn’t written on the doctor’s notes. I repeated what he said and she denied it again. They offered me another appointment but I refuse it, as there was no point in going there to not even been examined and because I wasn’t using the insoles, which to my understanding, is a crucial part of the correction of my problem.
I phoned again four months after the first appointment, this time the receptionist was more receptive, and offered that someone would contact me about the situation with the insoles.
I phoned again and explained that 3 weeks had gone by and no one has contacted me (as offered in my previous phone call). The receptionist said that the doctor had been on holiday, and that they would send the doctor an email to sort out what had happened with the delivery of my insoles. It's been now another 3 weeks since my last phone call and almost 6 months since the first appointment and I haven't received the insoles and no one has taken the time to contact me about it!
