"Appointment booking issues"

(as a service user),

My wife is having a horrific time with the appalling service she receives from GP and health centre.  She cannot get an appointment and we are dismayed at the appalling service that we receive for the money we pay via our tax payments.

My wife called  at 0800 to book an appointment. Did not get thorough until 20 past to find all appointments were gone but whilst they advertise that they can book an appointment up to 2 weeks in advance, every time she calls she is told they cant book in advance and to call tomorrow.

As she works full time she simply cant call on a daily basis or be available on the spur of the moment. We need some support in regards to accessing the advertised booking system which allows appointments to be booked in advance, which feel we are being refused access to.

My concern is my wife's health and the health of the other stakeholders who are unfortunate enough to have to deal with this group. I feel working people are being penalised and this could lead to people not seeing their doctor in a timely fashion and ultimately lead to people becoming very ill. I require answers as to why I feel my wife is being refused access to the medical service we pay for.
