As a person with a mental heath diagnosis, I have been brought to this A&E by police and family members when I have overdosed to end my life. Whilst here, I have been neglected, told to stop being silly, that I'm selfish.....all by staff. I hate this place. The nurses from my experience are cold, rude and un-empathetic. I have visited here since the age of 18, and nothing has changed. Still the same, rude, grumpy nurses. There recent addition of the mental health team......Feels like a joke. I was lying in a bed, hallucinating from all the drugs, and the mental health team said I was okay to go home and I was awake.
Not the place in my experience for compassionate care.
