"Don't Bother"

About: Monkwearmouth Hospital

If you need a therapist of any kind I'd recommend elsewhere for your own sake. Every therapist I switched to did a pretty poor job, and were very patronizing. If you end up with a particular psychologist here and you are transgender, run for the hills, as you will get nothing but disrespect and a lot of attitude. Going here did me more emotional harm than good, which really says a lot. I eventually had them discharge me from their service and I couldn't be happier about that decision.

Thank you for raising this concern and we are sorry that you have not had a positive experience of our service.

The Trust expects all of its staff to act with care and respect and I apologise if you felt that on this occasion they did not demonstrate these values to you.

I would like to reassure you that we consider the values and attitudes of our staff to be of high importance and central to all aspects of the care and delivery of services including our value based recruitment process. I will remind the Team of our Trust values.
