I visited Kidderminster for a pre op appointment but the paperwork I had didn't tell me I should be at Worcester.
The receptionist and 2 nurses worked through their lunch to ensure my pre op happened at Kidderminster which would enable my operation to go ahead.
This administrative error caused them a lot of upheaval, but they carried out their duties and didn't make me feel that I was a "pain" at all.
On the day of my operation, the nursing staff at Kidderminster were incredible once more.
The are so kind, thoughtful and as soon as they realised I needed pain relief it was there.
I cannot sing the praises of the nurses at this much under utilised hospital enough.
If I knew their names and addresses I would be sending each and every member of staff who contributed to my care (including the receptionist on my pre op visit!) a big thank you.
I even received a call the day after discharge to make sure I was coping well and once more I was told not to hesitate to call if I was worried about anything at all.
We all owe our NHS workers a huge debt for the work they carry out selflessly every day and Kidderminster Hospital staff are no exception.
I would highly recommend this hospital but it is only great because of the staff.
"Fabulous staff"
