"I read horrible reviews but the treatment was..."

I had read many negative reviews about the clinic and believed that this treatment was necessary, no matter how horrific it may be. However, my experience was amazing.

I arrived at the clinic for a late surgical abortion early in the morning and was welcomed by a lovely receptionist who went through my details and ensured that I was aware that I would be at the clinic for the whole day. I was then guided to the waiting area by a lovely nurse and then waited. The wait was anxious, as you can imagine, but once I was with a nurse for a pre-assessment, it was all fine. The nurses are caring and extremely respectful.

I then had to give consent to having my treatment done. The nurse there was wonderful and explained everything clearly and answered any questions which I had.

As I had to have a late surgical procedure, it was necessary to prepare my cervix for treatment. Although the procedure was painful in itself, the anaesthetist and nurse were extremely kind and made sure that I remained as calm as possible.

During my wait for my cervix to dilate (which was about 4 hours), I was supervised by some lovely nurses. They were constantly on hand to provide anything which I needed and ease the pain which I was going through. The professionalism of these nurses is shown consistently throughout everything which they do and they never failed to support me, however great or little the pain was. Without these really sweet nurses, the procedure would have been unbearable and this is what I feared the most. A massive thank you to these nurses who remain calm and helpful when everything seems extremely difficult and overpowering!

If you are considering an abortion clinic then the Edgbaston clinic is amazing. The service provided is second to none and you are cared for and put at ease.
