I had been forgetting what life was really about and living to work and not working to live.
I had a complete meltdown and accepted that I would need help.
After a short period on a waiting list for face to face therapy I was contacted by Inclusion Thurrock and attended my first session thinking that I was no longer in need of the therapy and that it would just be wasting everybody’s time.
How wrong could I have been?
My therapist Mr Shepard made me feel at ease and not at all rushed, in fact I went well over my allotted session time.
The following sessions allowed me to identify my core beliefs that were causing my deep anxiety and that these rules that I had been applying to my life could be changed, for the better.
The tools given were built within self management CBT and I can say that you can fix yourself if you use the tools provided.
I felt that I was up and down over the sessions, but each time I would identify another belief that I would be able change, making me stronger and more assertive each time.
I have just had my penultimate session and I am happy that I will be able to continue with the self CBT after my last session.
If anyone is giving up "Don't! " living life is a gift and you should enjoy each day on its own merit.
