What I liked
I was always treated with the utmost care and courtesy and all operations were successful and gave me back the use of various joints. My quality of life would be very poor without the orthopaedic surgeons skill for which I am very grateful. I would say that you have to research your surgeons carefully and ask for the one you want to do the procedure. It is important to communicate well and to ask all the questions you need to. Because of the appointments system, it is inevitable that they are rarely on time, but if you were the person needing extra care and attention, you would not complain about keeping other patients waiting! I can only speak about orthopaedics in LGH.
What could be improved
Food ! It was awful ! When you are ill, you need to be tempted and the lack of decent fruit and vegetables was deplorable. Thank goodness for visitors who brough ready-made salads and prepared fruits!
