"I seethingly resent the performance of that particular 'angel'"

In early January 2007 my son, experiencing excutiating pain in his neck and shoulder, and having been under GP care for the complaint, could no longer stand the pain and his wife took him to Grimsby A&E in the early hours of the morning.

A doctor examined him and said he would give him a painkilling injection. He designated a nurse to the task. Once the doctor had gone, she gave my son some paracetemol tablets. When my daughter-in-law objected, the nurse in my view took an agressive stance and told them that they had better take it or leave it and that they had been "dealt with - now pleae leave".

Two months later my son was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma in the spine and neck (with further tumours on the lungs). Thankfully, after this attitudes to him changed. However I seethingly resent the performance of that particular 'angel'. My son died approximately two years after that visit, aged 33 years, in January 2009.
