"Pre operative assessment visit"

About: Heartlands Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I had a very positive experience of the hospital and the various healthcare staff I saw today as part of my pre operative assessment and felt I must share this.

I had a cup of tea before my appointment and the cafe staff were efficient and friendly. There was a lovely calm buzz here which gave a very positive impression of the hospital.

I went to the pre operative assessment area using a step by step printed guide which was easy to follow. I can say without hesitation I was treated by each and every one of the staff I came into contact with that I was treated with professionalism, dignity, respect and efficiency. I was listened to when I asked for clarification about an x ray. The member of staff went and checked with another colleague. So all in all a very positive experience which has relaxed me so much prior to my surgery next week. Thank you very much.
