About: Essex County Hospital / Ophthalmology

On Saturday 22nd July 2017 I received a letter inviting me to attend Opthamology, Essex County Hodpital on Wednesday 26th July 2017.

I attended for the appointment at the given time and very quickly had an eye test to be followed by a meeting with a consultant at 3.15 pm. I eventually gat to see him at 5.50. I was with them no more than 5 minutes.

Very disappointing.

Thank you for taking the time to highlight this issue. I am very sorry that you had a disappointing experience. We endeavour to ensure all our clinics run on time, sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances delays can happen. However I would expect the hospital staff to ensure you are kept up to date, by making regular announcements in the waiting areas to explain the delays.

I apologise that your experience fell short of the high standards our hospital aims to consistently and continually deliver. I would be very keen to share you experience with our staff.
