"It's all very confusing"

I was diagnosed with a fractured bone in my foot and have been referred to The Fracture Clinic.

I have been given an appointment in just under two weeks, and have been told this is good as it's the the holidays and normally longer. I've been sent home with crutches and the advice of elevating and pain killers.

The doctor said they most probably will give me a boot to wear and won't operate. I feel it is a shame you are left so long before you can see someone about the fracture.

I'm now off work and left in limbo not knowing how long my recovery will take and if the hobbling around will make it worse. My employers want me seen sooner so they know how long I will be off for. It's all very confusing.
