"Feeling safe and calm at a very stressful time."

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / General surgery Lincoln County Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was admitted via a&e with a septic hip. He had blood tests and ultrasounds before being taken to theatre. He then required several days of IV antibiotics.

During our stay every member of staff who looked after us was wonderful, from the housekeepers to the consultants we were well looked after and kept informed every step of the way.

I would like to say a special thanks to the nurses and nursery nurses on Rainforest Ward who really went the extra mile and kept us feeling safe and calm at what was a very stressful time, especially Becky, Hannah, Nikki, Rachel, Jenny and Lydia (student nurse) - sorry if I've missed anybody out!

Dear Abelles

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us about your recent stay on our ward.

We are delighted to hear that you received excellent care and that your experience was positive.

We hope your son is now feeling much better and is back to his normal self, he sounds like a very brave little boy. It was a pleasure to look after you both.

We look forward to sharing your feedback with the rest of the team.

Kind regards

Laura and Sharon
