"Excellent hospital calm, clean, caring and..."

About: Wharfedale Hospital / General surgery

Day surgery for gall bladder removal

I arrived early, met with friendly face and room allocated..

Told I was first on the list

Quickly saw staff nurse, who was kind, efficient and also surgeon and anaethnatist.everything explained, problems, reality and also assurances I was in good hands. Understanding of questions and concerns. Felt extremely confident in the whole team.

Was taken to theatre, reassured and put under with good humoured team. Woke up warm and with smiling face saying welcome back everything went well, all done.

All care until I left that day was regular, same faces, comforting. Surgeon came to check on me and briefly let me know how everything went. No issues.

Out by 4pm

I was so impressed and totally recommend the hospital.. Nothing to complain about and everything to commend.

A week on.. I'm recovering well. The scars are small and wounds clean. I feel I had a great team ..

I'm pleased the surgery is over, so far recovery seems on track.

Special mention to the Staff Nurse who was fantastic and really helped me keep as calm as I could .. And I recall little from the pre op except it seemed good humoured and that put me more at ease and lose some of the nerves and overthinking..

Car parking there is great - a huge help for husband on drop off pick up and so I could walk to car easily
