I was treated in A&E recently for an episode of self harm. All the nurses and medics were just phenomenal. In particular, I would like to thank Staff nurse Jenny in A&E, her kindness and compassion along with, being able to make me laugh when I just wanted to cry, she is one in a million. I am so grateful that, there was no judgement and everyone, from the HCSW's, the Consultant I saw (Roley), just wanted to help and, more than anything, they listened. The time they gave me, put me at ease and kept me calm.
Later on, I was admitted and treated in Ward 101 and, their care was outstanding. All the nurses I met, made sure I wasn't in pain and treated me with so much care and dignity. I appreciated they reassured me that, I was safe and, I was going to be okay.
You're all amazing and a credit to the NHS! !
