"Treated with dignity & respect when I felt like..."

About: Trafford General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I had an operation on my fractured ankle, apart from the little mix up of taking me to theatre when it wasn't my turn I was in the downstairs theatre I can not fault the care from staff, I was so scared but was made to feel at ease, I also had to stay in over night due to pain, i was treated with the best dignity and respect when I needed support to go bathroom. I really can't fault the staff. They deserve more credit then they get, all of them!

Thank you for your comments posted on the NHS Choices website regarding your care on the Day Surgery Unit and in Theatre at Trafford Hospital. It was very kind of you to write and compliment the staff, as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff.

It was reassuring to hear that you could not fault the staff who cared for you and you were made to feel at ease. It was also good to hear that you felt you were treated with dignity and respect. I can assure you that we have passed on your kind words to the team involved in looking after you and your thoughts are very much appreciated.

We are sorry to hear that there was a mix up in the time you were taken to theatre and this will be discussed with the team.

Once again thank you for taking the time to share your comments and we hope you are continuing to recover well.
