"appointment with the out of hours GP"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Western General Hospital / General Medicine

(as a service user),

After feeling awful for three weeks and told by the GP it was a viral infection I called NHS24 to get an appointment out of hours at Western General Hospital in a Edinburgh given I had a high fever and unable to swallow due to a sore throat. I arrived and was seen early by a nurse practitioner. She was excellent, carried out a thorough investigation, great patient care and very professional. After 48 hours on antibiotics, I'm almost back to normal.

I just wanted to say thanks to the nurse practitioner for being so kind, professional and caring.
