"Overall programme is very well thought through"

About: Community mental health services / Recovery College

(as a service user),

I couldn't be more complementary about the Recovery College courses! So far, I've done the Return to Work, Introduction to Mindfulness, Confidence & Motivation, Setbacks & Crises and Staying Connected courses.

The overall programme and schedule is very well thought-through and designed to suit a wide range of mental health issue, allowing us to mix and match the courses that we feel we need most.

The quality and relevance of the courses is very high and delivered in a caring, supportive and gentle way which is just what I (and I'm sure many of my fellow patients would agree) need as I try to get through and get over my mental health challenges.

The "co-production" model of teaching is simply brilliant - because you know that the training is not just theoretical but that at least one of the teachers has the lived experience, which is so valuable, reassuring and authentic

The people on the Recovery College reception couldn't be nicer and more welcoming and helpful. It's obvious that they really want to help and I always feel that nothing is too much trouble. It feels as though the College's values of "Hope Control and Optimism" are properly embedded in its culture and this filters down into everything.

I feel blessed to be in the catchment area and to have access to the amazing, loving training and support offered by Recovery College.

If there is anything I can do to help in the future and repay what you have done for me, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you so much.
