"Utterly disorganised"

About: The Great Western Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Following a consultation in Feb 17 with a specialist I was instructed to go to the physio department to get splints put on my hands. The consultant wanted a followup in 3 months. I was told by the physio department that I was 'out of area' and my physio would be sorted in 'Wantage'. They did not specify where. After a month of no contact I rang the hospital and was told that I wasn't on their list and they didn't know where my referal had gone. I was advised to phone the JR in Oxford. No joy there of course. I then phoned the consultant's secretary who said there had been a 'miscommunication' and the referal would be sent to the JR. Another month goes by. Phoned the JR, no record of me. Phoned the Great Western again to be told I'm on their list!

5 months on and I get an appointment to see the consultant but have had no treatment since I first saw them.....so absolutely pointless. Yesterday I received a letter asking if I still wanted physio! Clearly the hospital is working on the hope that you either die or get better on your own rather than treat you. Utterly utterly useless.
