"My Hip Replacement exerpiance"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Pain Management Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had my left hip replaced in 2012 all went well but I was never discharged from the clinic had some issue with inflammation they were keeping an eye on it and between pain management and orthopedics but time went by.

2015 my right hip started to play up and every couple months I would be called back to the clinic and I would see one of the doctor’s, they keep asking for moor x-rays and MRI scans.

Then in August I was seen by a doctor and they agreed I would need a op and put me on their list for a hip replacement.  I was called for a pre op in October  and then was called back to see the doctor in December  he confirmed the op he said roundabout end January  I went for a another pre op December

I was called back for another pre-op in January By now I am on so mean pain killers and getting desperate.

I was in formed by my GP my funding had been granted only to be told sorry the GP made a mistake there had been a query DR had received a letter from IFR in December

Need more information but my GP felt it was not up to them to fill in the form so I contacted (PALS)

This went back and forward to IFR PALS has been very helpful in May I was advised by PALS that nothing will progress until IFR has been completed by my GP I sent a request that the GP fills the form in and sends it in to IFR May  the funding was granted in June.

But it is now July still no OP I am in so much pain and spaced out on drugs but the

I feel NHS do not seem to care

Hope you can read this I have Dyslexia
