Our recent experience of the Labour was amazing, such fantastic support during our stay. Thank to my midwife for the safe delivery of my first grandchild, my granddaughter. She had a short stay in the Nicu department, what an absolute credit to the hospital, amazing nursing though out. Having the flat to stay in, made there time in there so much easier, as our grand daughters was so poorly.
My granddaughter was taken straight to the Nicu, while my daughter stayed on the Mary ward. Our only groan is that she found it very difficult being separated from her, and it was very emotional when she was told that all the mum's that would be put in my bay would only be mum's with baby's in the Nicu ward. This would be easier as, there would be no babies crying etc. Unfortunately this did not happen, and even though i had a chat to the reception desk about this, still nothing changed. So she discharged herself from the ward. We understand that it is very busy in there , but why promise this, and then not keep to it.
