I fell awkwardly and dislocated my shoulder. My husband took me to Tameside A & E at around 5am. I was seen immediately by the triage nurse who was brilliant and took me straight through to a cubicle, put me on gas & air and got the consultant to see me. I was x-rayed, had intravenous painkillers then the doctor popped my arm back in.
The whole thing took less than an hour and everyone concerned was absolutely amazing - I couldn't have had a better experience.
This has carried on with my experience with the physio department and the fracture clinic - all joined up and really well done.
