"Impressed by care, kindness and Commitment"

About: Borders General Hospital

(as a friend),

I seem to have been at the hospital visiting people a lot lately and I have been very impressed by the care, kindness and commitment to the needs of the patients given by all the nursing staff and particularly to the older patients in Wards 10 (14) and 12 by all members of staff including all the students and all the other staff in the wards. They are never too busy to listen or to do whatever the patients ask of them and they regularly pop in to the rooms to make sure the patients are alright and not needing anything or struggling with anything. Thank you to them all.

Dear pastoral visitor

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your experience visiting the hospital lately.

Kindness, care and keeping the needs of patients at the forefront of everything they do are exactly the values that we would all wish for if staff were caring for us or our own loved ones. I am so glad that you have seen this recently in Borders General Hospital.

I will pass your comments to the staff in general and also to the University who will also be delighted that our students are getting this great feedback.

Many thanks

Ros
