"Cognitive Stimulation Therapy Group"

The above 10 week course was of great benefit to my mother.

After attending I found that she was more cheerful, more likely to try and do some things for herself and was looking forward to attending again.

She was participating in conversations which seemed helpful to her well being.

The person who runs the course is excellent; kind, caring, cheerful and hard-working.

Courses like this should be funded more and be more widely available to help ease social isolation in the elderly.

It also had the unexpected side effect of making contact between carers/relatives on drop-off and pick up times.

Although this time was limited if you wished to take these friendships further to provide mutual support then this gave you the opportunity.

Thank you for feedback. We're really pleased that your mother found the course useful and that you enjoyed the chance to meet other families/carers.

We have passed your message on to the Older Adults team who ran the course.
