"Gastroenterology"

About: Rochdale Infirmary

I didn't feel that the Consultant treated my mother with respect. We had the impression that they were bored and disinterested.

They had a horrible habit of sniffing very deeply which was stomach churning. Then coughing without putting their hand over their mouth. I think they need to attend to their phlegm and catarrh issues.

My mother was very nervous about discussing her bowel movements and the

Consultant did nothing to reassure her or make her feel more at ease.

I have visited many doctors and consultants in recent months with both of my parents and this was my most disappointing appointment.

I'm glad I attended with mum, otherwise she would have been traumatised by this Consultant's manner.
