All the staff where absolutely lovely, unfailingly kind, patient, respectful and professional. I was in a side ward with 4 other beds, so also witnessed their interactions with other patients, many elderly with multiple needs. The staff were also cheerful and chatty.
A staff member appeared promptly when the buzzer was pressed for assistance and there was a complete absence of petty rules - though it's at least 27 years since I was last in hospital, so that may not be a new thing. The floors and surfaces were kept sparkling clean, I think being mopped twice a day.
