About: York Hospital

Today I had an MRI scan at York Hospital. A nurse looked after me with such care and compassion I wanted to say "Thank you". The nurse went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and when I told the nurse that I had another appointment afterwards In the outpatient department they insisted on taking me there personally in a wheelchair as they could see that I was struggling on crutches with a broken foot. As I was early for my next appointment they left me at Costa Coffee but not before ensuring that the staff there were going to be able to carry my drink over for me etc.

The nurse was so caring and cheerful and really made my hospital appointments so much easier today.

All too often people use websites to report bad experiences but I wanted to ensure that staff such as this member of staff get the recognition they deserve.

I am so pleased to hear about your experience within our MRI department at York Hospital and the caring nurse who showed you so much compassion.

How fantastic that our nurse wheeled you to your next appointment and ensured that the coffee shop would bring your order to your table so you wouldn't have to struggle.

I have made sure to send your wonderful feedback onto the department managers so this staff member can be recognised for their service.

I hope that you will make a full recovery as soon as you can and that you will receive the same high standard of care should you need our services again in the future.
