"Day Theatre Patient"

About: County Hospital / General surgery County Hospital General surgery ST16 3SA

After I had an operation on my throat, I was told I was fit for work. And yet I couldn't talk for 48 hours.
How does that work ?
The doctor already wrote a note out for me, but another one cancelled it afterwards saying it wasn't required.
No one, even the nurses wanted to help me at all.
