I am undergoing Chemotherapy at Hexham prior to having my bladder removed at the Freeman following which, when I've recovered from the op, I will return to Hexham for a further nine week course of chemo. I cannot praise the staff at Hexham highly enough!
Everyone I've met, in Urology and Oncology, is friendly, welcoming, reassuring, supportive and FUN! Nothing is too much trouble for them and I have been greeted with smiles in all departments.
I have had 2 treatments so far, (with a week off for good behaviour) and no one could have had better attention and care in a private hospital!
I won't name any individuals because all the staff are totally dedicated to making the experience as positive as possible. I've even had reflexology and Indian Head Massage which I highly recommend, so relaxing.
Thank you for running such a happy hospital in these times of being stretched to your limit.
