I was admitted with acute abdominal pain in the early hours of a Sunday morning.
I was seen quickly and an initial assessment made in The Pit stop.
From there I was taken to the majors ward where I was madde comfortable by the nurses.
A lovely doctor then examined me and gave me some pain relief.
Everyone was really kind, and although it took a little time before I was moved it was due to the tests that were needed.
From there i went to the surgical assessment unit where one of the surgeons visited me and gave me a diagnosis.
They were very informative and reassuring.
I remained on the SAU for several days while my condition was reassesed giving my pancrea time to heal.
It turned out I had gallstones so an operation was required.
I was moved to ward 309 where I was impressed with the kindness and attention of the nurses, despite them being very busy and having one or two very awkward patients to deal with.
When I was well enough I met the surgeon and given full information of my operation.
This was completed very successfully leading to a quick discharge.
At all times I was treated with kindness, dignity and respect by the nurses and the medical staff.
