"Appalling"

On arrival to the clinic the staff in reception were extremely cold and unwelcoming! Which made me feel very anxious and instantly put me on edge. They were so unhelpful and very moody! No one guided me to the waiting room I was expected to find it on my own by following a blue line around the wall...once I found the waiting room no one greeted or even said hello...so I found myself a seat confused whether I was even in the right room...the paperwork in my hand was taken off me by a member of staff that said nothing to me just took it out of my hands! I then continued to sit there now been made to feel very alone, nervous and isolated. I realised sitting down how dirty the place was, which made me dread having any treatment there... 30 minutes later a staff member called my name which I looked up, followed them into a room where they confirmed my DOB, name and address! It was only then that I was told what would be happening...the member of staff was training another person and so the trainee asked me all the questions, their speech wasn't clear so half of them even now I have no idea what I said yes or no to! I had bloods done and scans. The scans were the hardest thing ever...because the member of staff was in training the qualified member of staff was explaining everything of how to date the pregnancy...hearing where the head was and where to measure from was so upsetting! I was scanned for an extremely long time and the member of staff kept going over me because they found it interesting!!! They also print out copy's of the ultrasound scan which is now all i can constantly remember!!!! At Birmingham I was due to have the surgical abortion...but thankfully they'd overbooked by 7 people and because I was late i'd missed my slot! So I rebooked but not to attend that clinic as it was and is the worst place on earth! For treatment I attended the manchester clinic where I was treated with a very high level of care. Knowing what I know now I wish someone had told me to go somewhere else eg. Coventry or manchester... So all I can say is not to have treatment at Birmingham and avoid it at all costs!!!
