"My son who has MS and his experience"

About: Galloway Community Hospital Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow

(as a parent/guardian),

My son has MS. He was latterly treated with a specific medication and as a result ended up with PML (Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy . Was in QEUH for a long time. Lucky to be alive. Came back to GCH for intensive physio. Mr Shaker was fantastic. Unfortunately ward doctor was not. Wanted my son to have HIV test for no good reason. Was very rude to myself and my husband then ignored us and my son for remainder of his stay. My son is now having anxiety and stress over a year later as a result. He is so worried he has HIV despite the fact his Consultant Neurologist in Glasgow has assured him this is not the case. I was going to complain about that doctor at the time but my main focus was on getting my son well again.
