"My baby experience"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I had a elective section. I gave birth to a baby girl weighing in at 6pounds 4onz. I have been given excellent treatment throughout the 3 days. The midwifes and other healthcare professionals have been nice they have always introduced themselves in a caring manner. They have been able to advise and support me whilst staying at the hospital.

The care I have received has been of a good standard. However, I feel that it could have been improved by more guidance of changes that have been made e. g, told about self service breakfast, day one family members can stay overnight and 4 people allowed to visit from 9-8pm.

We are always happy to hear from women who have had a positive experience of our maternity unit. Thank you for taking time to tell your story and I will ensure that the postnatal team are aware. Additionally I will inform the staff of your comments about some of the changes that have been made.

If you are interested in telling your story on film I would be very happy to hear from you, you can contact me at;
