"The consultant could at least reply."

About: Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre(Nations Healthcare) / Endoscopy

(as a parent/guardian),

Daughter diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease had an appointment to see consultant for treatment in july. This appointment was 2 months after she had the camera procedure. went to GP as my daughter is going to the toilet 15 to 20 times a day passing blood. GP took blood tests and gave my daughter iron and folic acid 5mg by the way shes losing weight only weighs 6 stone 8lbs so GP sent a letter via email to the consultant requesting to be seen earlier with what the blood test came up with. So after 3 weeks and 3 phone calls to the consultant's secretary for them to ring them regarding this matter. So far this consultant has ignored all messages and emails my GP surgery has sent. I'm absolutely fuming in the meantime my 19 year old daughter has to suffer. They could have replied its just rude not to, they're a professional consultant. I have also rang the clinic to see if there are any cancellations to see this consultant. only to be told I'm wasting my time they're popular and its because my daughter is a new patient. I told them my GP had requested an earlier appointment their reply was good luck with that. In the meantime my daughter is still suffering. I feel that this is medical negligence on their behalf.
