"Appointment not received"

About: Ipswich Hospital / Ophthalmology

I was referred by my optician in March, to see a Corneal doctor at the Ipswich hospital.

I have not yet received an appointment, and am unable to speak to anyone in the Eye Department.

I have tried ringing at all times of the day, on several days of the week.

All I receive is a message, saying that all the lines are busy, and that I should try again later.

What on earth am I supposed to do?

Mrs Christine Reeve

PS my visit in May, was unrelated to this, which is for Corneal, whereas that was for Glaucma

Dear Mrs Reeve, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your wait for an appointment. I have contacted the department concerned and they have confirmed that they have received the referral from your optician. The Operational Coordinator has informed me that your appointment is next to be booked and should be within the next 6 weeks. If you do not receive your appointment please give me a call on 01473 702101 and I will make further enquiries. Many thanks Steve Bruce - Patient Experience Team
