I just wanted to say a big thank you to all at NHS Grampian who I've dealt with this year. An accident at a kickboxing class back in January 2017 meant I needed surgery to repair my thumb. Surgery was only confirmed after an MRI and CT scan and the speed of this, once diagnosed, was very impressive.
Although this is clearly very minor when the NHS is dealing with major trauma all the time when it impacts upon your daily life it feels like a very big deal. I felt I was kept well informed about what needed to happen, when it would happen, and likely recovery. Everyone from the staff at both ARI and Woodend Fracture Clinics were superb, as was the skill of the surgeon and anaesthetists at time of operation. A special mention must go to the nurses who helped me come round from the general anaesthetic when I was talking nonsense!
At a time of great pressure on the NHS I felt I was treated superbly by all. What you do makes a difference, each and every day, and for that we should all be extremely grateful.
Thank you
"Treated superbly by all staff"
