I had to attend Dermatology Unit at Monklands Hospital at the request of the Consultant for 7 days intense treatment because of skin damage caused by an allergic reaction to medications. Unfortunately because of complex situation of my ill health position I was unable to keep up the daily visits.
Nothing from Secretary to Nurses involved was too much bother to them whilst they must have been busy treating other patients. This why I gratefully appreciated their help. However in April because I was quite ill and required blood tests taken which was confirmed I was B12 deficient with low score I began treatment for two month period. I also discovered in December 16 I was B12 deficient after blood tests being done when attending another hospital.
This meant when I attended Dermatology Unit in Feb16 I must have been B12 deficient and partly reason I could not attend the Unit. From Doctors I also learned that B12 deficiency could cause skin damage because of autoimmune system and complex problems. Treatment received from nurses was gratefully appreciated but I have also learned that B12 can cause problems with the skin with some treatments being ineffective, which is absolutely no reflection on the nurses who attended to me.
