What I liked
The staff were fantastic. Genuinely concerned with patient centred care, supportive, kind and motivating. Group therapies provided on daily basis, staff very respectful towards patients. Makes the local NHS mental health sector look like a relic of the nineteenth century.
What could be improved
Food OK but could be improved. Some temporary night staff a bit patronising, probably because they didn't know patients as well as day staff. Would be great if inpatient stay could be followed by additional outpatient sessions as part of cost.
Anything else?
NHS has lot to learn from the way care delivered here. The assumption that what the private sector provides is unobtainable in the NHS is a cop-out. Changing attitudes towards patients and principles in mental health care costs nothing.
"The staff were fantastic. Genuinely ..."
