My 5 months old daughter started being unwell. She is normally a very calm baby and hardly ever cries. She was very irritable and had temperature that didn't go down with painkillers. At around 8. 30 pm I changed her nappy and noticed a few spots on her left leg. She continue being very unsettled by then, so I decided to take her to A&E Service at Croydon University Hospital. We arrived at 12. 20 am. As soon as I registered at reception and explained the situation, a nurse saw my daughter and 10' minutes later Dr Chan and Dr Soong checked her thoroughly and suspected sepsis and meningitis (fatal if untreated).
Antibiotics were administered straight away and a bed was arranged for us at St George's Hospital where my daughter was for over a week.
I can't thank enough Dr Chan and Dr Soong. They saved my baby's life and I will be grateful for the rest of my life. Words can't express my gratitude to them.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your hard work. Thank you to the doctors, the nurses, the receptionist and the A&E service at Croydon University Hospital.
