My youngest son was acutely unwell with his schizophrenia and admitted to Friar House for two weeks....he's been to three different hospitals now and I can honestly say that this was the best experience we've had yet.
I can't speak highly enough of all the staff I met there. I was kept informed and involved in his care plans.
This didn't happen elsewhere. The staff were friendly and welcoming and had so much patience with the obviously very unwell and very difficult patients they're working with. I've nursed( general) for 35 years and have nothing but good to say about the atmosphere in Friar House....the moral seemed good, the nurses were there because they cared, genuinely cared.
My son also said it was a nicer place with nicer people than Birmingham though he was glad to be out:) And that's quite something coming from him.
Thankyou everyone who cared for him.
