I injured my shoulder resulting in impingement which used to cause me a lot of pain and discomfort when going to bed and during the day.
By recommendation I was advised to see an orthopaedics surgeon who I have not seen before, however, I feel very lucky that I did get a chance to meet them, because not only was this surgeon professional, they also take a passionate interest in the patient and you leave feeling very well looked after.
My first operation was key hole surgery, which went successfully and my impingement was fixed, however, I continued to be in pain but in a different part of my right shoulder, therefore, I visited the surgeon again and they assessed me perfectly, as they always have done and after 2 injections they determined I needed another operation.
After my second operation, they explained exactly what needed to be done to repair my shoulder and all I can do is thank them for doing such a good job.
The nurses at the Spencer Wing were amazing and made me laugh, thank you to everyone at the Margate Spencer Wing.. shame we cannot stay there in general :-)
Now a year later I feel great, the operations went really well and I can now sleep a lot better at night and my general well-being has improved.
Thank you to everyone that helped get me fighting fit again.. :-)
Kind Regards
Mr Darkes
