"Five star care from Home Birth Team, St Marys..."

I had an incredible home birth experience thanks to the amazing home birth team at St Marys for my first baby.

I felt fully supported in the run up to the birth. They met with me at my home a couple of weeks in advance to talk about my decision and to carry out the routine check ups.

It felt like a little bit of luxury to be able to have these check ups in the comfort of my home and although everyone was always professional I loved the informality of it....much more conducive to a calm and relaxed birth, for me anyway!

On the day of my labour I text the team to let them know that I thought things were beginning and they regularly checked up on me by phone to check how things were progressing.

When labour was properly under way, two of the team came and checked me over and gave me some tips for helping things along but also remained in the background and let me and my birth partners have our own space.

I had complete confidence that I was being fully looked after and supported and when labour got harder or I needed some encouragement they were on hand to help and fill me with confidence and pick up everyones energy!.

I have such happy memories of my labour thanks to the home birth team.

They were like guardian angels!

I can't thank them enough and highly recommend to anyone considering a homebirth.
